No, it’s not just for women who haven’t grown up yet–Hong Kong Disney offers a distinctly un-Mickeylike  day for people looking for an elegant garden setting somewhere a little different. Equipped with private dressing rooms, an outdoor garden area with a gazebo and plenty of posing opportunities outside the Sleeping Beauty castle, the Disney wedding team can also arrange photography, decoration and full AV support. If you’re looking for some extras, the team can also arrange live music, Mickey and Minnie guest appearances, limos, florists, live entertainers and Disney-themed desserts. Chinese banquet packages range from $8,888 per table of 12 to $11,888.

For a unique, historical wedding venue, you may want to consider The Pawn on Johnston Road. Set in a historical building that once served as a pawnshop, The Pawn has been lovingly restored and is now one of the hippest drinking and dining destinations in Wan Chai. For private events, the bar/restaurant has three areas, the Living Room (80 sitting, 150 standing), the Dining Room (seats 80) and the Roof Garden (80 seated, 150 standing). THe roof garden is semi-outdoor and with its own bar, is ideally suited to private events. Contact them for individual food and beverage pricing.

The Clearwater Bay Golf club has a wide choice of both indoor and outdoor venues that are well suited to wedding ceremonies. Boasting two lawns, the Oasis Lawn overlooking the South China Sea, and the 15,000 square foot Marina Lawn is set against mountains and can be set up with a marquee for an outdoor ceremony. As a private club however, you’ll need to book through a member.

20 Tak Fung St., Whampoa Garden, Hung Hom


There are several available venues at the Harbour Plaza Hotel, from the ballroom to the presidential suites, or for an alfresco option, the pool deck and the waterfront bar and terrace. The terrace holds up to 150 guests and has magnificent views of the harbour, while the Presidential Suite is a homey, intimate location for around 50 guests. Banquets are $6,380-$9,880 per table of 12, with plenty of perks for bigger bookings.

Sheung Shui, New Territories


This country club is set in a remote part of the New Territories and is a spacious and elegant place to hold your nuptials. Built in the 1930s, it offers comprehensive wedding services and even has rooms where you can stay overnight. The wedding cocktail package starts at $398 per head, minimum 100 guests, and includes 2 hours of drinks, one glass of house champagne per person for toasting, one-hour’s photo taking with a horse and carriage and more. Venues include the club house, croquet lawn or member’s garden. Wedding buffet starts at $498 per person. Part of the Hong Kong Jockey Club.
